The South Mountain YMCA provides outdoor programs, as well as camp and conference center facilities.
The South Mountain YMCA Camps (Conrad Weiser and Bynden Wood) have provided summer resident and day camps for young people for more than 60 years. In addition to summer camp, we offer family camps and outdoor education programs for the region. Finally, we also provide horseback riding instruction.
Our facilities are often used for conferences and retreats, as well as reunions, birthday parties, and weddings.

Summer Camp for Boys and Girls ages 5-17. Our Summer Camps include Bynden Wood Day Camp and Camp Conrad Weiser Resident Camp. We specialize in target sports, equestrian pursuits, leadership & teambuilding programs, and international travel.

As a YMCA, we are for Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. It is the firm conviction of the South Mountain YMCA Camps Staff that nothing better embodies this mission than the camping and outdoor education programs we offer.

We have a superb staff, excellent facilities, and a rich history of service to our community, the region, and the world.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our location is 600 mountain top acres in Berks County. We are always evaluating our programs to make sure we are providing the best possible service to our community.
