THE READING SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA IS ABOUT TO BEGIN ITS 103RD SEASON!
The Reading Symphony unveiled the 103rd season at the March 7, 2015 classical concert and gave those in attendance the chance to renew current subscriptions and grab some of the first information on the exciting season. The Reading Symphony got its start back in 1913 and has been in continuous operation since the beginning. Today the Reading Symphony Orchestra looks toward its one hundred and third season as one of the longest continuously-operating symphonies in the United States.
The season begins on October 10, 2015, with Pianist Ilya Yakushev performing Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto #1. Throughout the season the RSO will showcase soloists and pieces that represent the true classics of orchestral repertoire. Along with the classics we perform a New Year's Eve concert featuring the music of Simon and Garfunkel and in February a Valentine;s Pop concert featuring the Great Ladies of Swing with Dee Daniels.
